Indiana Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch says the state has received nearly $100 million in requests for rural broadband improvement projects. The state's Next Level Connections Broadband Grant program provides funding of up to $5 million per project to expand broadband service to unserved communities. The second round of funding for the program received applications from 21 service providers that would affect 47 counties. The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs is currently reviewing the applications.
