The Nevada County Board of Supervisors has approved a $1 million grant that Race Communication will use to provide broadband Internet for residents in the Peardale community in Nevada County, California. The grant will allow the utility to speed up construction of fiber-optic connections for 500 homes in the Zone 2 area of the Bright Fiber project. The $27 million project aims to connect 2,000 homes and business in six zones along Highway 174 to high-speed Internet. Race Communication is expected to connect hundreds of by the end of the year.
