Frank Drendel, founder of CommScope, is stepping down as chairman of the company's board. In addition, CommScope CEO Eddie Edwards will retire from his position as part of an ongoing succession planning program. Charles Treadway will take over as CEO for the company and Bud Watts will take over as chair of CommScope’s board. Treadway has led several companies in the US, China and Latin America over the past 17 years. Watts previously served as the company's lead independent director.
