Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb announced $51 million will be invested for 50 broadband infrastructure projects throughout the state. The investment is the second phase of the Next Level Connections Broadband Grant Program. The funding for the second phase will extend broadband infrastructure to over 10,590 homes and commercial sites in 32 counties. Sixteen telecommunications companies and utility cooperatives contributed over $53 million in matching funds to the program. If companies provide at least a 20% match, they are allowed to apply for $5 million to expand broadband services to unserved areas.
