Municipal Broadband PDX is calling for construction of a publicly owned open-access fiber network in the Portland, Ore., region. Portland officials approved funds for a feasibility study for the idea. Meanwhile, it has support in surrounding communities and the larger Multnomah County. However, several questions remain unanswered concerning the proposal.
