The Department of Agriculture will invest $13.3 million in two broadband infrastructure projects in rural Oklahoma. Pine Telephone and Pine Cellular will use $5.6 million and $7.7 million, respectively. Both companies plan to build a fiber-to-the-premises network in parts of Pushmataha and McCurtain counties. The projects are expected to impact 1,022 households, 44 farms and ranches, 35 small businesses, as well as the police and fire departments in the towns of Rattan and Haworth.
