The Department of Agriculture (USDA) has invested $3.3 million in a high-speed broadband infrastructure project in Beaverhead County, Mont. The Southern Montana Telephone Company will use the money to build a fiber-to-the-home network. The company's network is expected to reach 109 households, 26 farms and ranches, seven businesses, and a fire station. The funding for the project comes from the USDA's ReConnect Pilot Program.
